In order to have a successful learning experience, it is essential that all students feel their classroom is a safe place where they will be treated equally. Unfortunately, research has shown how very often there is a disparity between the experiences of male and female students in the classroom, which can have disastrous effects. Luckily, there is a strong link between practices that promote equality between male and female students, and general good classroom management. This webinar will explore techniques that will help you organize and facilitate a class in a way that is equitable for all your students. Participants will learn strategies and have an opportunity to apply them to case studies. While the focus is on gender equity in the classroom, the techniques discussed can be used to create a learning environment that is inclusive of all student demographics.
