The Patient, 45 years old male, with infero lateral wall MI showing LCX total. Occlusion and left main disease. To assess the severity of left main IVUS imaging was done which shows left main area of 5.2 sq.mm. which is significant and patient was stented with provisional stenting.
Left main is a very important coronary artery. Angio graphic estimation of its severity has lot of limitation. To overcome this problem intra coronary imaging with IVUS catheter given exact severity, lesion morphology, stent size, and stent apposition and edge dissection.
