An Onomatopoeia is a word that sounds like the noise it describes.

Examples are buzz, squeak, thump, hiss, pop, and tap.

These words excite the senses, and add imagery to a story.

For example, instead of saying the bee flew away, you could say

The bee buzzed away.

Or instead of saying the books fell on the table, you could say

The books fell on the table with a thump.

The use of buzz and thump in these examples heightens the senses.

Now that you know what Onomatopoeia is, here is your task:

Write a 100-word story that incorporates the words

Buzz

Squeak

Thump

Hiss

Pop

Tap

What your story is about is up to you. Just be sure you incorporate this list of Onomatopoeias in your story.
